Affiliate Representation for 2008

This article is to alert you of the opportunity to start thinking about regional representation on the NRHA Board of Directors. During 2008, we will have appointed directors serving on the NRHA board under the existing bylaws. If the proposed bylaws are passed by the general membership, in 2009 we will elect our directors from regions throughout the world using the formula specified in the bylaw proposal.

If the bylaws pass, in Sept./Oct. 2008 we will be electing three individuals to represent the Mountain Region. Please give consideration to candidates who might be willing to serve as a NRHA Director for a two-year term. Special emphasis needs to be given to the amount of time, energy and money one would expend to fill this very important role. Directors can meet up to five times per year with physical travel to Oklahoma City. Out of pocket costs including air fare, motel, rental car, and meals can run from $600 - $1,000 per meeting. Additional time for participation on various committees via telephone and web conferencing would be required. A commitment of two years would be required for directors elected to serve commencing in January 2009.
