WSRHA Youth Group

At the April, 2008 horse show, the WSRHA youth held an organizational meeting. The meeting was organized and ran by Samantha Belcher. There were approximately 10 youth that attended from the front range and western slope and some of the youth’s parents. Also attending was Meg Ralston, Kim Ralston and Randy and Jessica Dooley. Ideas were plenty and excitement was abound! Some of ideas discussed were a scholarship program, a youth derby and freestyle, youth team competition, leadership training for board members, and ways to do fundraising.

It was decided as a group, that the youth program needed more youth attendance and involvement. At the next June, 2008 horse show, there will be another meeting in which there will be an officer election and a decision of what event/idea that the group should focus on for the remainder of the year. Involvement in the WSRHA youth group looks to be fun and exciting!

All youth plan to attend the next meeting, at the June 2008 show, on Saturday, June 14 after the youth classes. Look for flyers and listen to announcements as to where the meeting will be held. GET INVOLVED and HAVE FUN!
